So, me and my friends went to Universal Studios Hollywood.
It's been over a decade since I last went there, so I was
excited. We had fun there, but I was disappointed about the whole
thing. First off, the rides are hella short for the most
part. The park is actually smaller than I remember it.
Also, too much use of water and fog effects in their attractions.
But quick recap...
1) Studio Tour (tram ride) - a lot less fun than I remembered it.
2) Back to the Future The Ride - immersion isn't that great, vomit inducing
3) Revenge of the Mummy - nice special effects, had some speed in it,
but it was way too short. For THAT, we had to use a locker for
carry-on items?
4) Jurassic Park - gets you wet, only one real drop and it wasn't that deep
5) Backdraft - cool fire effects, but boring for the most part
6) Van Helsing - walk through maze where people scare you, not bad, but not that memorable
7) Terminator 3D - cheezy acting, the 3D effects were decent, not too bad at all
8) Shrek 4D - funny humor just like the movie, good 3D effects, overall fun
...and that was it! Yeah, not much happened ey? I
reluctantly got that free pass for 2005, but I don't think I'll even
come back at all this year. Heck, I think I'll wait another decade
before coming back.
