  • Remember my blog post on E3 2005, and how I mentioned that one of the booth babes from E3 2002
is quite possibly somebody I know? I've been meaning to ask her about
it, but I haven't seen her for almost two weeks now. Well, just about
four hours ago, I finally saw her again.  Before I even got a
chance to inquire about it, she started up a conversation that lasted
throughout the whole trip to her work place. But as soon as we were
about to part ways, I was able to bring it up.  This is how it
    went....

ME: Before you go, there is something I've been meaning to ask you
about. Are you familiar with the Electronic Entertainment Expo?
HER: yyeeaaaahhhhh, why? (she had that look like she knows where this is going)
ME: There's this picture I saw of a woman at E3 a couple of years ago, and she looks just like you.
    HER: What was she wearing?
ME: Well, you know, she's one of those women who works at one of the
booths. (yeah, no way I was describing that she was wearing a skimpy
    outfit).
HER: I plead the fifth. (she smiles)
    ME: oh, okay (I chuckle)
HER: You know, I was suppose to be there again this year, but I ended up going to Maui.
ME: Wait, so it was you?
HER: yyeeaahhh, it was.  I'm a video game chick.
ME: Really? I'm surprised. (I think I actually did have a surprised look on my face)

...and then we waved goodbye to each other. So there you go.
She's a "booth babe" and I'm an acquaintance of hers.  Out of all
these years of me taking pictures of them, I actually know one
now. In a way, it's almost like knowing a celebrity.
