  • You know how people say that once a friend gets married, you'll never
see them again?  Well I'm not married yet, but I think I'm already
at that point. The majority of my free time goes to either alone time
with myself, or time with my girlfriend.  In truth, I hardly hang
out with my friends very much at all, like I used to years ago.
It's gotten from hanging out once or twice a week, to once or twice
    every other week.

This isn't even my girlfriend's fault, since she is very very open to
me just hanging out with the guys.  It isn't my friend's fault
either because they have their own lives to live too.  It always
comes down to which direction I want to go if I had an option between
my girlfriend or my friends.  The real answer to that really
depends on what the situation is. Some times obligations can't be
broken, some times I just want to relax, while some times I feel like
being in a group. This applies to my girlfriend and to my
    friends.  It really just depends.

But honestly though, me choosing my girlfriend over somebody else is a much easier decision for me to make.

    Your #1 Match: ISFP

    The Artist

You are a gifted artist or musician (though your talents may be dormant
right now). You enjoy spending your free time in nature, and you are
    good with animals and children.

Simply put, you enjoy beauty in all its forms and live for the simple
pleasures in life. Gentle, sensitive, and compassionate - you are good
    at recognizing people's unspoken needs.

You would make a good veterinarian, pediatrician, or composer.

I would change the "spending free time in nature" to "spending free
time in a rich and colorful environment."  That would make the
quiz a lot more closer to my personality.

  • Well, I'm doing a lot better that I was when my being sick started last
week.  I still feel weaker than I normally am, and I'm sniffing
and coughing my heart out, but at least I'm up and about and able to go
to work. Honestly though, while I had those four days off from being
sick, I actually thought it was a well deserved time off from work.
Sure, I was sick and couldn't really do anything physically extensive, but I got to spend a
lot of time with my girlfriend, which is a big huge plus in my book.

Another thing too when I was sick, was that I pretty much lost my
voice.  Because of the throat problem that I started to get on
Friday, I ended up with a very low sounding coarse voice.  Nobody
could really understand me or hear me talking.  It was a bit
frustrating actually because I consider myself very dependent to
communicating with my words. That went on for about three days, and it
made me appreciate having the ability to speak even more.

Oh well, enough of this.  Time to get some more rest.

  • Man the past day really sucks.  So, I'm finally out of my fever by
Thursday night / Friday morning, but then I got some new problem.
I went to sleep at that time, was having a dream and all, then suddenly
I was compelled to wake up.  When I woke up, I realized that I
woke up because I was choking on my own saliva; which built up in my
mouth / throat.  I then proceeded to spit out all that saliva
(yeah, I know, not exactly pretty) in the bathroom.

I went back to my room to sleep again since apparently I only got two
hours of it.  But by the time I lie down back on my bed, I noticed
that my mouth in fact is still building up excess saliva.  I
simply could not lie down, because I would just choke myself.  I
decided to drink some water, soda, whatever.  As well as spit out
whatever I can spit out in hopes that it will "run out."  But no
    such luck.

After about four hours of staying up, keeping myself occupied, hoping
that I will suddenly get cured all by myself, I decided to try and go
back to sleep.  This time around, I was able to get some sleep,
but two hours later I was once again forced to wake up because of the
saliva problem.  I later looked online as to what my problem could
be, and signs said that it's either simply an acid indigestion problem,
or I have that acid-reflux thing (which is actually more serious than I
thought).  I convinced myself that it was acid-reflux, but the
only kind of over the counter medicine I had was alka-seltzer.
Hoping that would work, I tried it, and so far I think I might be
okay.  Right now, i'm waiting for the next recommended time for me
to take another dosage of alka-seltzer before I go back to sleep.

So yeah, mostly a miserable day for me.

  • New Order - "Waiting for the Sirens' Call"
is a great new album here in the decade of retro-80's music. Once
again, this is your synth-pop, rock, and dance sound, and they still
have it in them. The album as a whole is great to listen to, and it
does have some songs that are memorable, but not entirely up there with
the New Order greats. The majority of the song aren't entirely as dance
friendly as their stuff from the '80s, but I feel that the band doesn't
need to go entirely retro at this point in their life. Good listen.

    1) Who's Joe? - 2) Hey Now What You Doing - 4) Krafty
    7) Dracula's Castle - 10) Turn

    -------------

Family Guy - "Live In Las Vegas"
is a nice album for fans of the TV show. Many people will go into this
album thinking that it will be some kind of stand up comic act, but
this is actually more like some kind of broadway show.  That might
disappoint many, but the album actually kinda makes sense.  The
songs in the Family Guy are mostly broadway tunes anyways, plus it's
got that Las Vegas Lounge feel to it, so the album works in that way.
If you ever want to hear the Griffins curse without the censors (like
baby Stewie), then this the album for you (the explicit version that
    is).

    5) "Q" Man Loves Nobody - 6) All Cartoons Are F***** D****
    8) But Then I Met You - 9) T.V. Medley - 14) Quahog Holiday

    -------------

Rob Thomas - "...something to be" is not a bad album. This is Rob's solo project outside of Matchbox Twenty,
which is his way of venturing out into different sounding territories
(R&B, latin beats, etc...).  The result is actually not bad at
all, with a lot of songs that doesn't sound entirely like the Matchbox
Twenty sound (although some does). There are some upbeat dance / rock
songs here, but once again Rob Thomas proves that he excels with his
    ballads.

    2) Lonely No More - 3) Ever the Same - 8) Problem Girl
    10)
My My My - 12) Now Comest the Night

  • Well, it looks like I'm officially sick now.  It really started
Monday night, but I thought I could rough through it.
Unfortunately, waking up Tuesday afternoon, I realized that I really
need a day off to rest.  I still went to my graveyard shift
Tuesday night though, even though I was feeling all the symptoms at the
time (lack of appetite, sore throat, colds, chills, lethargy,
etc...).  Fortunately, I have some good friends at work who made
the whole work night a lot easier on me by allowing me some time to
rest and all.  Thanks guys. Well, here I am back from that
graveyard shift, and I'm about to call scheduling to tell them I'm
calling in sick for my Wednesday night shift.  Hopefully I'll be
able to get back to work on Thursday.

    Your Birthdate: July 16
    Your
birth on the 16th day of the month gives a sense of loneliness and
generally the desire to work alone. You are relatively inflexible, and
insist on your being independent. You need a good deal of time to rest
    and to meditate.

You are introspective and a little stubborn. Because
of this, it may not be easy for you to maintain permanent
relationships, but you probably will as you are very much into home and
    family.

This birth day inclines to interests in the technical, the
scientific, and to the religious or the unknown realm of spiritual
    explorations.

The date gives you a tendency to seek unusual approaches
and makes your style seem a little different and unique to those around
you. Your intuition is aided by the day of your birth, but most of your
actions are bedded in logic, responsibility, and the rational approach.

You may be emotional, but have a hard time expressing these emotions.
Because of this, there may be some difficulty in giving or receiving
    affection.

  • Nice simple blog here today.  I thought I'd post an image of
something my girlfriend made.  It's a Dog bean bag! Eyes, nose, and
ears too! I think it's pretty cool.  I gotta give some props to her skillz.
