  • Me and my close friends came across some old High School friends of
ours.  To say the least, it led to a lot of nostalgia about old
friends and how time passed us by. There were a lot of "so how is...?"
"Is he still with...?" "Are you still at...?" Then the subject of our ten year high school reunion came up, and the question of "are you going to attend" was brought out.

    I don't think I'm going.  In a way, it's because the nature of a
reunion is very much more ingulfed in how better off you are now, than
you were then.  I know that people don't necessarily go to these
things to brag about their accomplishments, but it kinda ends up
becoming that way. I personally have made some accomplishments in my
eyes in what has happened with me, but they aren't necessarily
something like saying "I discovered the cure to..."  Yeah, I
understand I'm being a bit unrealistic and that many of the people are
probably thinking the same thing, but I'd honestly rather not deal with
    it.

When the day comes, who knows, I might reconsider my opinion.
