  • Is it better to let a child believe that Santa Claus is real? Or is it
    better to let them know early in their life that Santa Claus is not
    real. Personally, I do not recall a time when I did believe that Santa
    is real, as I always knew my parents were responsible for my gifts. I
    wouldn't know how it would feel to all of a sudden learn that Santa
    does not really exist.  Wouldn't that lie be traumatizing?
