I recently went to an Asian themed festival, primarily as a celebration
for the upcoming Chinese New Year (Dog). You know there's a lot of
Asians in attendance here, because just upon the process of parking,
you can already see the frustrated parking attendants trying to put up
with all these Asian drivers who can't drive. In fact, I
witnessed at least three cars at minimum who didn't know how to follow
directions on where / how to park. I admit that it's one of those
stereotypes that just bites Asians in the ass, and I'm Asian. The festival had several rows of booths, dedicated to clothes, DVDs,
food, CDs, carnival games, food, jewelry, ornaments, food, etc... yeah,
half of the booths were vendors selling yummy yummy looking food. There
was even a dog fashion show there, although I wasn't able to see it.
However, a lot of the dogs were still in the festival along with their
owners, roaming around.Me and my girlfriend didn't stay too long there (had to be somewhere
else), but we did eat a little, bought a few items, and played a
carnival game. Scratch that, I was suckered into playing a
carnival game, which was a throw darts and pop balloons type. It was $5
for three darts, and I got two out of three, winning a Kermit the frog
doll. Well, I was eyeing this doggie stuffed animal and inquired how many
balloons do I have to pop to get that. The guy told me I needed seven.
So for $10, I got six darts to throw, but missed two, which brought my
total to only six. Considering I went this far, I paid another $5 for
the last balloon to pop. I got the dog, and I'm currently
convincing myself that it's worth $20. I'll have to say it is
though, because my niece seems to like it quite a bit.
