Microsoft finally released Windows Vista, and I have to ask all PC users out there, do you care enough to get it? Because, I'm honestly very very content with Windows XP, and intend to keep using it for at least another four to five years. From what I can tell right now, there are only really a few advantages of even having Vista. There's the new visual touches, the more streamlined way the included software works with each other, and the fact that a lot of the newer high profile PC games are going to demand the use of Vista. Either than those, am I missing anything that I can't already do with Windows XP? The majority of us are still just using our computers for documents, the internet, and games like World Of Warcraft. You can do all that with what you have right now. So my advice to all of you thinking about upgrading, WAIT. YOU DON'T NEED IT.
Man, it's been many years between the releases of the main Windows Operating Systems; not counting the Windows NT ones. Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, and now Windows Vista? All these OS releases in the span of a little over a decade. Seems like overkill don't you think?
As for you Mac users, be happy you have OS X.

I'd be happier with the OS X if they'd make a browser and an AIM chat program that functions properly (i.e. as well as it did on a pc).
I'm a linux user. Beryl has the same eye candy:

As for Vista, I'll prolly wait a year. XP was a nightmare for a couple years after release.
