  • After putting up the sticky mouse traps almost five days ago, we've already caught about 15 mice!!! Big and small. That's a lot of mice that was caught, and there's two theories on why they are up and about. One theory is that they were living up in the attic, but since a bee hive has taken residence right next to it, the mice migrated down. The other theory is simply that it's because we live right next to a huge grassy hill area. Either way, I hope we get rid of all the persistent ones, or at least have all these captures be a lesson to those who dare trespass our home. For all I know, the mice was the reason I got sick....

    On that note, my voice hasn't completed come back yet. After the cough-lapalooza extravaganza especial I had with last week's flu, my throat hasn't completely healed yet. Still sore, still coughing a bit, and my voice is still weak and hoarse right now. I'm beginning to wonder if it'll ever get better.

  • dangggggggggggg that's a lot! were they gettin in from the attic? do you have a lot of cardboard boxes/old clothes/scraps of paper up there? one of my professors told us that there used to be a lot of mice/rats in her garage and she decided to get rid of them in a more environment friendly way. basically she bought plastic containers for storage and the amount of mice/rats dramatically decreased after that because she knew what they were after. maybe you can try that if that's your problem?

  • I personally don't think the mice are coming from the attic (we don't use it for storage anyways), I think they are actually entering from outside in some fashion. Also, we've always had those container traps, and they would get a mice maybe once or twice a year. Maybe we just never had a "real" mouse problem until now. I'm thinking it's a case of the mouse saying "hey, there's a house that doesn't kill captured mice, let's go over there." Well, that's not the case anymore, so I hope they learn their lesson.

  • eeeeeeeeeewwwwwwww! lol yeah this coming from your cousin who see's cat-sized rats everyday. that's a lot of mice dude. you should train your dogs to like herd them away or catch them or something! heheheh.
    i had a nasty cough like yours a few weeks back and it lasted me about 3 weeks before it completely went away. like your mom's almost you know? laughing, talking, and the littlest irritant makes you cough like 5 minutes each time. ugh i hated it. you taking antibiotics? i asked my pharmacist friend for antibiotics and it helped. i was cured in 5 days. you should get something for that. hope you get better
