  • I was at the drive-thru for Jack N The Box recently, waiting in line behind one car in front of me. I was listening to a CD at the time I was waiting, but all of a sudden I heard the sound of a girl sexually moaning loudly. At first I thought "is that my CD?" until I realized that it's coming from the car in front of me, which had four girls in it. I hear more loud moaning coming from the girls, with them adding "uh huh, you like that?" to it seems was directed towards the male employee at the drive-thru window. I then see some soft drinks being handed to the girls in the car in front of me, but I did not see any money pass hands. I then hear one of the girls say "oh, you want one more?" then she proceeds to sexually moan loudly again, and the guy hands them another set of soft drinks. The car with the girls takes off, and when I asked the guy what that was all about, all he could tell me was that "they were just playing, touching themselves, oh they were crazy hot girls." Go figure. hahaha

  • damn, I recently bought five items from ebay recently, with four of them just from today. Addicted to ebay am I? I hope not, especially considering that while I've been a member since 2001, I don't really go on ebay often. I'm just a buyer and not a seller too, but lately the retail channels (stores and online) haven't been very good at providing me some items and that's where ebay comes in. Now, I am looking for a particular item that I can't find anywhere...

  • Had my first real session of local multiplayer with Halo 3 recently with three other friends of mine. aahh, it's still ridiculously as fun as it ever was, and it's no surprise that this is the most popular console FPS out there.
Somebody recently asked me why Halo is so popular, and the truth is that it's because of the multiplayer mode. The competition that comes with this game is what drives people to keep playing. It's kinda like sports, except it's a video game. Unfortunately, I'm not one who goes online to play other people since I'm not that great, so I can only really appreciate the multiplayer in split-screen mode. Despite my lack of online playtime, it's not hard to see why Halo 3 deserves the critical and commercial success it gets.

  • This week, I was scheduled to go to Jury Duty. However, since I did attend Jury Duty mere months ago I was able to be excused from it. Fate would have it, I guess I was meant to go to court anyway, except this time as a witness for a trial. I'm representing my company as a witness to an incident that happened at my work place three years ago. That's right, that long ago, and I honestly don't remember much about it. My name was mentioned in the statements as someone who came upon the incident after the fact, so I was not even directly involved to what happened with the plaintiff. Because of that one sentence statement saying I was there, I had to show up in court to fill in any gaps in the story. I was only there for less than four hours total at least, only requiring to be on the stand for no more than five minutes. I even got two free days of paid time off from work to top it off. So check it out, I now have some experience going to court as a Jury member and as a witness, and that's pretty cool in itself.

  • What Your Halloween Habits Say About You
You're a friendly person, but not the life of the party. You like making someone else's day - and you'll dress up if you think of a really fun costume.

You're weird. You're downright deviant. And you use dressing up in a costume as an excuse to act out.

Your inner child is stubborn and a bit bossy.

You fear people taking advantage for you. You are always worried about protecting your own interests.

You're prone to be quite emotional and over dramatic. Deep down, you enjoy being scared out of your mind... even if you don't admit it.

You are picky and high maintenance. If you wear a Halloween costume, it's only when you really feel like it. And it has to be perfect.

What I'm Listening To This Week...

  • Fires in Southern California. Lots of fires in SoCal and it's kinda scary and harkens back to a few years ago when this was also happening. Is it safe to say that along with Earthquakes, Fire should now be considered part of things we need to worry about in SoCal? I work far enough from the fires, but close enough that there is soot in the air from the smoke. Working in an outdoor environment in this condition is just horrible. Soot and dirt getting in the eyes, plus breathing becoming an issue. At the end of the work day, I have to go home and take a shower, if anything else just from the soot that has built up on my hair and face. Yuck indeed. At least this is as far as I'm affected by the fires, and I'm simply absolutely lucky I'm not one of the poor unlucky evacuees. I hope and pray that they make it through this ordeal.

I didn't mention this before, but after complaining for over half an hour to Direct TV on the phone, I'll add the info here now. Just to let you know, I did pay over $600 for Direct TV's initial
installation. Yeah, that's a steep price to pay but at that moment I
was already in deep of wanting to get Direct TV that I just agreed to
the price. It turns out that the initial fee varies between customers
based on their credit history, and some people pay as little as $200
for what I got to as much or more than what I paid for. I thought I had
a decent credit history, but I didn't think it would cost me an extra
$300! It was a credit fee of $300 plus the $300 for the HD-DVR. I
didn't know that until I saw the bill online. So keep this in mind if
you are considering getting Direct TV. Find out first how much they are
charging extra because of your credit history, before agreeing to what
Direct TV package "you qualify for." That was what I was complaining about on the phone, that they should make that fee a little more obvious. They didn't want to "bribe" me to keep quiet though, so I didn't get anything out of this. Bleah.

One of the "boardies" from the Meg & Dia message board made an unofficial DVD collection of the band. I contributed half of the concert footages and one video for the bonus disc of misc material. I just got it recently and it's pretty damn cool. I've wondered how my videos on DVD resolution on an upconverter DVD player would look on my HDTV, and I've got to say that it isn't bad at all. I'm already thinking of making another fan video for the inevitable second collection. The band themselves are going to get a copy too, so I hope they like it.
