• I was able to listen to 130 music albums that were released this past year, and makes 2007 a banner year for me in terms of the amount of new music I listened to (not to mention having a movie soundtrack be one of my favorites). That was also the year I seemed to really embrace the "softer" side of music, because the hard rock and metal genre has honestly been lacking lately. Coming up with 40 top albums of the year for me was pretty darn hard this time around, but I kept in mind the CDs that stayed in my player a lot, and the ones that I really fell in love with. Once again I have to say that this list caters to my personal taste and opinion, so I don't expect it to be the standard for everybody. Also keep in mind that there are still more CDs from 2007 that I still haven't heard yet, so I intend to update this list with a future edit to accomodate any additions / removals (marked with a *).
