  • Me and my wife are actually here at Las Vegas because it's sort of a bonus work trip that her job is providing. Basically, the hotel is paid by her workplace, the dinner buffet is paid by her workplace, and there's some spending money too. Good excuse to go to Vegas I guess? Even if we actually spent most of our time at our hotel room (not because of *that*), and only gambled a good 5% of our time there? We did get to see the water show at the Bellagio hotel, and that was pretty cool. I also got to play my favorite Wheel Of Fortune slot machines, and even though I lost the most at video blackjack, I'm actually leaving Vegas with more money than I came with.
     
    My wife wanted to get one of those souvenier Eiffel tower drinks, but she wanted to get the non-alcoholic version. However even with the strawberry punch juice in it, the thing still looks like an alcoholic drink. Fun times can be had when you carry that thing around, and just act like you are drunk. Like I told her, just smile and laugh a lot, and people will think you are drunk and will be excused for acting silly.

    Although there was a fire tragedy with the Monte Carlo hotel
    on the day we showed up, thankfully we weren't negatively affected by
    it. I feel sorry for the people who were in the hotel when it happened,
    but Vegas as expected seems to be running like normal.
