The Nintendo Wii so far has dominated in the home party multi-player experience, with games like Wii Sports leading the way. While consoles like the xbox360 and the PS3 has focused mostly on the online multi-player route, it bears to question how viable those consoles are for a home party gathering. Well recently I put the xbox360 on task to entertain a small party of casual gamers, and I have to be impressed that we were able to fill out 5-6 hours of fun.
Those five to six hours of xbox 360 entertainment, consisted of Rock Band, browsing through the videos I downloaded from the xbox LIVE marketplace, Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2, Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting, Scene it - Lights Camera Action, and Fuzion Frenzy 2. By far the biggest surprise hit was Scene it, with Rock band a close second in popularity. If this was a little more of the hard core gaming crowd, games like Call Of Duty 4 or Halo 3 could have even been added to the mix.
It's nice to know that the xbox 360 is capable of providing multi-player fun without going online, and with games like Lips, Scene It - Box Office Smash, and You're In The Movies also coming out later this year, it looks like that trend will continue.
