  • So the Jonas Brothers has their 3D concert movie out this weekend. Besides the fact that pre-teen girls are all googly-eyes for the brothers, they really shouldn't be deserving all this attention as a rock band. For that matter, they really shouldn't be deserving all this attention as a pop band. If you are a fan, then stop reading, because I've listened to their album and have to say that they suck. They aren't good. They are bad. I get this impression that they are trying to sound better than they really are, or at least they think they do (as proven by their horrid performance with Stevie Wonder at the Grammy's recently). They aren't trying to be a typical pop-rock band, and I appreciate that, but at least be good at it for cryin out loud. I don't see how people of any age can truly enjoy their music, so I hope they shape up.

At least other teen pop stars like Taylor Swift or Miley Cyrus knows what songs they should be singing. Cyrus is doing pop music and doesn't seem to shy from that, but at least I can hear the appeal of her songs. Taylor Swift goes even one step further and has made really good songs that appeal to any age group. Heck, going years back, the Backstreet Boys and NSync at least has memorable pop songs that'll last through time.

If the Jonas Brothers don't properly get their act together and actually make good memorable songs, then they are going to just be a statistic of being another flash of the moment hype band that'll only last a few more years. I guess once they really grow up and be young adults, all those teens will move on to the next big thing.
