This past week, the TV networks have pretty much set up their Fall-Winter 2009-2010 TV schedule. For the most part most of the shows I watch are returning in the next year, and there are a few new shows that I might consider actually watching. Out of these new shows, ABC's "V" looks like something I'll watch just for the nostalgia factor from enjoying the '80s version, and "Flash Forward" also looks quite promising. FOX's "the Cleveland Show" also seems like a logical choice to watch since it's by Seth Macfarlane, who is a comedy genius.
The one show that I wish could continue on is FOX's "Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles," which is actually a pretty good drama. There's the key word right there, "drama." I believe that's the problem that a lot of people faced with this show, it wasn't an action packed series for a story about future robots out to take over the world. It's a good series and I did enjoy it a good deal, but I admit that it wasn't a great classic show. I'm somewhat satisfied with how the series finished off in terms of the story, even though the ending was leading up to what could have been an incredible new refreshing premise for the third season.
"Reaper" on the other hand, which is a fun and charming show, doesn't look like it's returning for a third season. There's talk of negotiations with ABC or The CW, but supposedly it's just for syndication rights. It's really too bad too, because it's consistently been an enjoyable show to watch. It's got great appealing characters and it has one of the best portrayals of the Devil I've ever seen around.
As far as the show that I'm shocked but thankful to get renewed is FOX's "Dollhouse." The series started off rather slow and uninteresting, but after the first initial episodes, the show started getting really good, and now I'm at the point where I'm really looking forward to seeing the next season. I never should have doubted Joss Whedon in the beginning, since I've loved everything he's worked on.
Shows that's always been good to me as well, have been "The Office," "the Simpsons," "Family Guy," and "American Dad." You know what though? I haven't seen an episode of those for almost three months now. Why? I dunno. I blame not dedicating enough time to watch them. It's partly due to the fact that since they are half hour shows, I've been giving them the "I'll catch up later" treatment. Ofcourse those half hours do add up, but now I'll get to see those over the summer TV break I guess.
Now for some bite size opinions on some of the TV shows I've seen this past year.
House - Great show, but the stories started recycling from what's been done in past seasons. Done with it.
Heroes - Ended up unable to live up to it's ambitious beginnings. Glad to be done with it.
24 - Always has the ability to keep me watching, and this season was one of the best. Still watching.
Lost - BEST SHOW ON TV, 'nuff said. Definitely still watching.
Smallville - This season started off great, and then it once again disappointed in the end. I should quit.
Supernatural - This series just gets better as every season passes. I'm sooo still watching.
South Park - Still every bit as entertaining and great as it's always been. Very much still watching.
Robot Chicken - Twisted yet still funny and entertaining. I'll watch it, if it was on more often.p.s. Not surprisingly enough, I'm still not following any shows on CBS

hmmm "done with it" as in you're no longer watching "heroes" but it's still coming back for another season?
@kalamai - I haven't watched "Heroes" since volume 3 ended (six months ago), so yeah that's what I mean by "done with it." Next season (volume 5) is most likely going to be the last one for Heroes, before it's going to probably get canceled.
