  • - Had a little bit of a scare this morning. I go to my blog and the internet couldn't connect to it. I tried the main xanga.com site, and it too was inaccessible. The server was down and I wasn't sure why. I remember hearing rumors about how xanga might end up folding due to lack of funds or something, and I thought this was it. No more xanga. Over five years of my blog, GONE! Well fortunately that didn't happen and xanga is still up and running. Turns out it was a Domain Name System outage, so I'm glad it was resolved. It did make me realize that I needed to archive my blog, just in case it does suddenly disappear permanently. Xanga does have an option to do this, and it archived all my blog posts (plus comments too) into an html accessible downloadable zip file that ended up being only 1845.4K in size. To think I was out of my xanga blog.... maybe I should claim a Tumblr account just in case...

    - These past months, I've been drinking a lot of mango juice. However there are tons of options out there, and I narrowed it down to three brands. Dole Orange Peach Mango, Welch's Mango Twist, and Kern's Mango Juice. The winner goes to Welch's Mango Twist! That'll be the mango juice that I'll be my primary choice. Honestly, they all tasted good, but I seem to like Welch's the most (even if it's only slightly).

    - Speaking of products, we recently got the Mr.Clean Magic Eraser, and I've got to say it surprisingly works really well! I've been using that to do deep scrubbing instead of the typical scrub sponge you find in a kitchen sink. We've also added one of those automatic hand soap dispensers next to the sink, and let me tell you... as lazy as it seems to have one, it's pretty darn cool... hehe cheap thrills

    - On the computer software side, I went ahead and uninstalled AVG-Free anti-virus software from my computer. I've been using AVG for many many many years now, but I'm going to give Microsoft Security Essentials a shot at being my sole software to protect my computer from viruses, spyware, and malware. So far so good.

    - I also finally got my Google Wave account. Have no idea what to do with it just yet, but at least I have one?
