  • On one of the forums I frequent I made a post about my pet peeves in regards to other drivers…

    1) Cellphone drivers who aren’t using hands free devices! They do come
in handy to pass over though since they aren’t paying as much
    attention.

    2) Drivers always needing to be first in line in a lane. I tend to box them in to teach them a lesson.

    3) Drivers going too slow for the fast lane and there’s no cars in front of them. Forcing me to pass them over, damn them.

    4) Drivers who don’t understand the rule “the right of way.” What’s worst is when they don’t even realize they are at fault.

    5) SUVs in California Freeways. That’s an oxymoron folks. The side rule
to that would be, people who shouldn’t be driving SUVs but are. Do you
guys remember that Simpsons episode when Marge got an SUV?

As for the thing on female drivers. The rule I follow to that is this…
Male drivers have tendencies to take risks when driving, but they know
the risk factors and are prepared for any repercussions. Female drivers
on the otherhand have tendencies to take risks when driving, but they
often don’t know the risk factors and aren’t prepared for any
    repercussions.

…today I’m going to have to put in a sixth rule to my pet peeves:

    6) People going straight on a right turn only lane!  What’s worse
is when you actually want to make a right at the next nearby
intersection, but the car next to you is already in that lane because
they went straight from the previous right turn only lane. You only
have the choices of letting him go first and go behind him, or speed
up, cut him off and teach him a lesson (which is my preferred option).
Today I had such a case, a van cut me off in the intersection because
he oops! doesn’t have room ahead because he went straight and not a
right like he is suppose to.  I promptly honked my horn but had to go
behind him, so I was a little pissed and proceeded to tail gate him,
windows down, and turned up music to blast him with some heavy
metal.  He knew that I was pissed and tried to get away from me by
    going 70mph on a 45mph zone….and I was still following right behind
    him (kids don’t attempt stunt – I’m a professional
). He eventually made a proper right turn and I proceeded to leave him
alone. I hope he learned his lesson and stays out of my way next time!

The sad thing is that I actually broke this pet peeve of mine once accidentally. But at least I knew I was at fault?

  • You would diffently not want to drive in Korea.  The first rule in driving in Korea is “There are No rules!”  You would so peeved and peeved all the time.  In Korea Red means go slow. Yellow means you better speed up before you have to go slow.  And Green? what do heck does it matter they don’t look at the lights anyways.

  • yeah, I remember asian driving, the Philippines is the same thing. But see, if everybody is not following the rules then it’s not so bad, because that’s the common norm. While here in the states, there are rules of the road to follow, and the ones who don’t follow them is not the norm.
