• First things first.  My Mom is finally done with her surgery on
  her shoulder.  Everything looks okay and she’s already been sent
  home to rest.  I haven’t really talked to her yet though because
  she’s been asleep while I was here, and then I had to go to work.

  So speaking of work. RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN.  I just got off
  being sick last week because of the rain, and I came back from work
  DRENCHED again.  I swear, maybe the poncho’s gotta go and I really
  should use the cumbersome rain gear that we have.  So now I’m all
  dizzy and headache all over.  Am I sick again? Maybe, but I
  haven’t gone to sleep yet so let’s see how I am when I wake up.  I
  took a preemptive dose of cold medicine, so hopefully that’ll
  help.  Maybe this is just age catching up to me, and I’m not able
  to withstand the cold like I used to.  Or maybe I’m absorbing some
  of my girlfriend’s traits of not liking the cold. 

  My water proof shoes did get a good work out though.  They were
  working very well, until all the water from my non-waterproofed pant
  legs dripped into my shoes.

  On a side note.  I’ve gotta pull another plug on my new favorite show Veronica Mars with the charmingly lovely Kristen Bell.  Five episode strong and I can’t get enough.
