  • Three days of being sick already.  I'm feeling better, but I'm still sick.

I didn't think I'd find something more annoying on the phone either
than telemarketers, but I was wrong.  What's more annoying are
people who are tying to send you a fax when you don't have a fax
machine.  It's not just that, it's when it's obviously a wrong
number, and yet they keep trying to send you a fax!  For the past
year I've been getting this call from idon'tknowwho that keeps trying
to send me fax at least one day a week.  On that one day, I'll get
that fax at least three to five times.  I tried doing the whole
*69 stuff, but I can't call them because their number won't allow it.
So I just put up with it for all these times.

Well today I thought I'd call verizon to find out if there's anything I
can do about this annoying call.  Their response was "do you have
a fax, you should turn on your fax." "do you know anybody with a fax,
maybe they are trying to fax you something." "You're going to have to
pay for an additional service to trace the call." No No No.  The
customer service pretty much tried to make it sound like it's my fault
I'm getting this annoying call.  So I said "basically you can't
help me" and then I hanged up.  What's the deal?  The guy was
rude and sounded like he was too busy to talk to me.  What, did I
take time away from him playing solitaires or something?  Geez!

So I'm still stuck with this problem of getting woken up in the
morning, because my phone is ringing for a fax that I can't
receive.  Any suggestions to my problem will be appreciated.

  • *sigh* another day of being sick.  I slept for about 15 hours
straight as it is.  I think I'm going to force myself to go to
work Wednesday night, because working will probably distract me from
    being sick.

On a side note, I finally made myself my first DVD with slide shows and
video taken from my digital camera.  Now that I know I'm capable
of doing such things, I might just make myself that compilation of all
these video clips I downloaded from the internet.

  • I was asleep when I got the call that my Mom had to go to a hospital
emergency room.  I ofcourse was scared and worried about it, as I
wasn't sure what happened.  I got most of what happened through
the cellphones when I was able to get through.  It turns out that
she slipped, fell, and fractured a shoulder.  There was also a
concern about her high blood pressure, but didn't become a problem
later on.  The doctor who checked up on her said that she didn't
have to stay over night, so she was sent home.  She does have a
brace around her shoulder and left arm, and she does feel tired and
weak.  But at least she is home with us, so that we can take care
    of her.

To make matters worse, I now have the cold and flu.  I must have got it after I was drenched from the rain.

    Here's to our health then....

  •
Well, my brother's wedding day is done and over with, and boy am I tired.

The morning was pretty hectic with people trying to find and get to
the hotel.  Us trying to figure out the whole parking validation
situation, rooms that we need to go to, as well as floors that we need
to go to but can't access.

By the time we got to the church, everything was running
smoother.  It was a Catholic wedding, and it was nicely
done.  Ofcourse, people like my girlfriend had to "put up" with
all the procedural stuff that goes with a Catholic wedding.

Afterwards, there was a impromptu photoshoot at Griffith park right
after the wedding (which ended at about 3:45pm).  We
were a little annoyed at the fact, because we were all pretty
hungry at the time and didn't expect anymore added events to deal with.
Since we haven't eaten all day because of the hectic schedule, I was
hearing complaints about eating something quick.  I
personally wasn't hungry yet, but those who were went for a quick run
to KFC.  The photoshoot was then done, and then it was off to the
hotel again for the reception party.

Parking was full so we had to park across the street at the
mall.  Which is fine, because it's cheaper to park there than the
hotel.  The reception started at approximately 7:30pm and ended at
12midnight.  It was actually pretty fun, and was well done.
Unlike the last three times this year that me and my girlfriend has
attended weddings, we didn't for once win anything at all.

I suppose my highlight of the night would be the moment when they
asked all the groomsmen (me included) to play a game for a Best Buy
gift certificate.  It was pretty much the audience choosing a task
that each one of us had to do. The best man for example had to
play act a strip tease, one person had to pretend to be Micheal
Jackson, etc... Me on the other hand got stuck needing to do a Britney
Spears impersonation for thirty seconds.  Let me repeat that, I had to do a freakin BRITNEY SPEARS impersonation for 30 secs.
But being that I didn't want to chicken out and disappoint the
audience, I went for it and shook my bootay to "I'm a Slave
4U!"  I was told that I wasn't bad and I await to see the video
    footage of said dance.

At the end of the reception, the dance floor opened up, and being
that I embarassed myself already to everybody there, I boogied on the
dance floor to my heart's content.

So I've gone through four weddings this year, and that gives me
quite a lot of ideas for my own in the future.  So thinking back
again to the Britney Spears thing, those of you who know they'll be
    there, prepare yourselves.

  • Well, this day was fun and tiring. .
I took my cousins to Disneyland and also spent about four hours there.
After that I took my dog for a walk, and she was really being stubborn
about moving.  She just wanted to keep sniffing the grasses and
bushes.  Once in awhile is one thing, but always wanting to do it
    is another.
My girlfriend was feeling a little sick from her cold, so the dinner
date I had in mind had to be nixxed for take out from Lucille's.
    Not so bad.
Then by 11PM I was off to pick up my cousin and her boyfriend from Disneyland and now here I am typing my blog.
So basically there was a lot of driving today, and I think I did a good
total of 120 miles in my car.  I don't know how many miles I
walked because of Disneyland as well as from me walking my dog.
So I'm tired, but I still have to get up early for my brother's
    wedding.
WooWee what a weekend this has been so far.

Being that this was me and my girlfriend's Anniversary of getting together, I thought I'd
point out that contrary to the fact that we're still not marriage nor
are we even engaged, we have been constantly talking about our future
together.  We've talked as far as how the wedding is going to be,
what kind of place we'd like to stay at, if we're to have kids, etc....
As some people have already noticed, I'm practically married to my
girl. The both of us have the opinion that this marriage thing is too
much of "just a formality" to just do, and she doesn't like the fact
that it's going to cost so much.  It's to the point where she just
wants to get married in Las Vegas (which I don't agree on). In fact,
she even told me to wait two more years before we even tie the knot.
We're really happy together, so that's all that really matters to the
    both of us.

  • Happy Anniversary Honey! Seven years today.

  • So I attended my brother's wedding rehearsal, and I've got to say that
I have my reservations on the wedding organizer.  It was like she
was just making up the whole thing along the way.  "Do it like
this." "No, do it like this."  "oh you can do it that way if you'd
like." So what is it?!  And her popular word to keep us moving?
"Heelllooooo?!"  Not only that, but she acted really annoyed that
things weren't going perfectly.  Well, if she planned the whole
thing out PRIOR to the rehearsal, maybe things would have run a lot
more smoothly.  I swear, I could have done a better job organizing
it myself.  In fact, my parents had to step in and put in their
suggestions to make things work better.  Guess what, those
suggestions were better! This saturday will be an interesting day for
    the wedding.

  • You ever meet those people that come into something, expecting
everything to be perfect and go their way, but then goes into a
complete meltdown when it doesn't?  Well I met some people like
that at work.  It was a sob story about how they don't have that
much money, and how the expected their two days vacation to be this
great event.  When it didn't go their way, what do they do?
They blame others for their misfortune.  Can't they just except
that they just had a couple of bad days?  Can't they just except
that things unfortunately didn't go their way?  Do they really
have to pin this on somebody else?  Not only that, but I heard a
spiel about how if they were richer than they were, these things would
    not happen to them.

To quote J.T. ... "cry me a river."

Writing that, I know I sound incensitve and mean, but being that I
myself have been known to act exactly the same way (except in small
doses), there simply is no reason for their complaints.  I
personally make it an effort to consciously realize if I do that
myself.  I'll have to say that I've made great grounds in
restraining myself from blaming others for my own problems.  It's
just not worth it, because you're already hurt, why bring others into
it because you can't own up?
