  • What a day it was. I’m not going to get into detail (except for one thing) so let me just list it out.
    1) Went to Disneyland to sign in people.
    2) Went to the doggie bath & groomers for my pet dog.
    3) Went to a family photoshoot for Christmas cards.
    4) Went to Costco for doggie stuff
    5) Went to Bestbuy to get something for my brother, but it was sold out.
    6) Went to pick up my pet dog (aarrghhh, hair cut very short!)
    7) Went to another Bestbuy to try over there.  Success!
    8) Went to a Japanese restaurant for take out
    9) Went home to eat.
    10) and then we went to see The Incredibles! and that’s where I want to speak some more….

I’ve got to say that I fell in LOVE with this movie. It’s probably
because I was raised with superhero comic books since the ’70s, but I
really connected with it. I thought it was actually quite brilliant and
I’m at the point to say that it’s easily my most favorite Pixar movie
yet. It’s also easily in my top three favorite movies of 2004 list.

I love that this movie had a great mix of laughs, action, and emotion.
I love that when they use their superpowers, they make sense. I love
that they did a good job of showing the “normal life” side of a
superheroes secret identity (eat your heart out Spider-Man). I love
that Pixar still easily amazes with their CGI prowess. I love
Elastigirl, I thought she was the best character of the family. I love
that I actually felt real danger for them at some parts, even though I
know they would get out of it. I love that they didn’t pussy-foot
around the fact that even though Dash and Violet are children, they can
still die. I love that they made an otaku the bad guy, very
appropriate. I simply loved this movie from beginning to end. So many
things I love about the Incredibles, I WANT MORE!
