So I went to the mall to go eat, and being that it is the Christmas season,
there were quite a lot of people there. While in the mall, there
was a performance of what appeared to be a girl group called
“evidence.” There were four of them and they were singing
Christmas songs. They were hot chicks but nothing really stood
out in terms of your typical girl bands. I wasn’t sure if they
were just a local performance group that just happened to have a gig at
the mall, or they are promoting an upcoming album or something.
Which made me realized that the age of the boy bands / girl bands is
really over. There isn’t a market anymore for those kinds of
groups, and I for one aren’t complaining. It was inevitably going
to end anyway, as anything that reaches a huge peak of hype is bound to
crash down at the end. The cycle will continue though and they
will be back. God help us all when that happens.
