Have any of you heard of a “dead pool?” Basically, you guess which
celebrities are going to die in the year. 2005 is ramping up very
soon, so it’s anybody’s guess on who will be dying next. People
have different ways of doing this pool, but the fair way is to make a
list of celebrities they think is going to die that year (maybe a list
of 10, 13, 20). When it comes to betting, each celebrity is worth
a number of points based on the age subtracted from a hundred.
The reason for that is obviously because the older the celebrity, the
more likely they will die, but the younger the celebrity the more
unpredictable it is. So at the end, the most points wins. I know
this game is pretty grim, but it’s pretty amusing in it’s own right.
