So my friend from the military is finally back for a month leave from
his U.S. duty in Korea. The funny thing happened right when he
got off the plane, he cannot find his ride. He ended up calling
me to pick him up, and even I couldn’t find him at first! It
turns out that his mom was looking for him the whole time but was not
successful. Oh well, he got back, so that’s good.By the next day, we were going to go see the movie Constantine
in the afternoon, but by the time I woke up, it was 5 PM! I must
have sleep walked to wake up both of my alarms or something, because I
sure as hell don’t remember doing that. I work graveyard, and I
must have been more tired than I thought. So I wasted an afternoon of
my weekend which I get really annoyed of doing. It’s funny too,
because at work, someone told me to “have a good weekend. Hope it
doesn’t fly by too fast.” Yeah, that must have been the jinx.Deciding for dinner that day was a chore in itself, as me and my
friends couldn’t quickly decide on that. One suggestion gets shot by
another, with one of them being the Macaroni Grill
restaurant which I did not want to go to (because, how can a place
called the Macaroni Grill NOT have anything to do with
macaroni?!!). We ended up deciding on Korean BBQ, but then I
realized that it’s Lent for Catholics and I can’t eat meat (chicken,
pork, beef, etc…). So we went to this Chinese restaurant and
ordered some sea food dishes. Really good stuff. Afterwards, we
went to Starbucks and then played Trivial Pursuit 90s edition the rest
of the night (which my team won!).…and that’s it for now! It’s good to have you back Terry.
