  • This should be called the day of competition…

Me and my friends went to play Tennis, as a rematch to last year, in
which my team won (although the other team would argue that).
Since my army friend is back on vacation, we can do that much awaited
rematch to settle the score.  To give them credit, the other team
won, fair and square.  Afterwards, they wanted to go for a few
more sets to break the tie.  Well,
to my team’s credit, WE won.

But that’s not the most memorable thing that happened on that court for
me.  In one of the earlier sets, I accidentally stepped the wrong
way in trying to hit the ball, and I ended up twisting my left foot a
bit.  I was able to still stand, walk and run with it (although
with a bit of pain), so I thought nothing much of it. Well, about two
hours after that happened to me, I lunge for the tennis ball, and my
left foot finally gave way! I stumbled but couldn’t keep my balance,
ended up falling to the net, a little bit of a clothesline to my neck,
and ending with me down on the ground.  But those who know me
know, I’m stubborn about medical things for my body, so I continued
playing on, which as I mentioned my team won, mostly thanks to my
partner. I’m definitely feeling the after effects of the fall though,
because my left foot is stiff, my back left calf has a bruise, my left
knee is also stiff, both my arms have bruises from trying to stop my
fall, my larynx area is sore, and my back simply aches from all
that…… But I’m sure I’ll get better, since I believe in natural
    healing.

Later on, we continued our competition with Halo 2 and Outlaw Golf
    2.  Sad to say, my team lost on both games.  On Halo 2, me
and my friends were just no match to their insane sword slashing and
their flanking manuevers.  On Outlaw Golf 2, my team lost by one
stroke, which may have been averted if it wasn’t for an error I made
very early in the game. All in all, fun stuff, which I hope to get a
rematch to later on in the week.

After everybody was gone, I ended up going online with Street Fighter
Anniversary Collection.  What was suppose to be a half hour
session, became a three hour streak.  Oh man, it’s easy for me to
    get addicted to online fighting.
I went several matches on Hyper SFII and I remembered how much Guile
was a top tier character that takes a lot of a strategy to get
through.  I gotta brush up on that again, especially for my
non-fire ball characters. All the gamers I played all had good
attitudes (no droppers so far there), and I encountered almost no lag
on Hyper SFII. Then I went on Third Strike and was HUMBLED at how much
I haven’t changed from being just an average fighter in this.  My
win to lose ratio is like a 1 to 3. I can’t for the life of me improve
anymore than I already am. But I did do better on Hyper SFII in winning
    compared to SF3S.

and while I’m talking about competition, here’s a drinking game that
people can play while watching the Oscars. Whenever a category comes
up, everybody quickly makes a guess on who will win.  Those who
guesses wrong, takes a shot of alcohol.  Being that it’s a three
hour show with lots of different things that will happen, you can take
shots when “somebody thanks God,” “somebody goes over their allowed
    time to speak,” etc…
