    Unwritten Law (self titled)
is one of the best pop-punk albums that’s been released. Part of the
reason for that is because it doesn’t trap itself in the pop-punk
formula that revolves around fart jokes or problems in love.
Another reason is that they also borrow other musical elements from
metal and emo.  That actually helps bring out a harder edge in the
songs that most pop-punk bands don’t have.  The majority of songs
have a nice “drive” to them that helps you get into a rambunctious
mood, while the ballads are definitely great sing-a-long types.
The most popular song here that got lots of airplay back in ’98 – ’99
is Cailin, and although it’s not entirely representative to the rest of the album, it is one of the best tracks.

    Other Favorites are…
    1) Harmonic
    2) Teenage Suicide
    3) Sorry
    6) Lonesome
    11) Before I Go

Natalie Imbruglia – Left of the Middle is actually a pretty good album. Sure it’s got that number one pop hit “Torn
that was played over and over again in the late ’90s, but the rest of
the album deserves some notice too. The thing about the album is that
it’s a smorgasborg of music that ranges from rock, pop, electronica,
adult contemporary, etc… but it’s usually geared towards the
“independent woman” that can be angry and yearning type, that was
    popularized by Alanis Morissette.
Natalie Imbruglia definitely imbues passion and emotion, which elevates
the songs into something better than it probably would have been.

    Other Favorites are…
    5) Wishing I Was There
    6) Smoke
    7) Pigeons And Crumbs
    10) Intuition
    11) City

    Halford – Resurrection
is definitely definitely one of the best metal albums around.  Rob
Halford did an excellent job in making songs with melody, speed, and
power, basically kick-ass heavy metal! These ain’t your wimpy metal
songs as they demand to be sang with absolute fury with your hand
raised up in a fist ready to smash and crush. His voice is still HIS
VOICE and it’s just simply great to listen to this Metal God howl and
    scream like he never aged.

    Favorites are…
    1) Resurrection
    2) Made in Hell
    5) Silent Screams
    7) Cyber World
    8) Slow Down
