I used to listen to The John and Jeff show
in our local talk radio station, primarily because of their third shift
friendly time slot, as well as the political topics they had last
year. But for a couple of months now, I've stopped listening to
them. The main reason I stopped listening to that show is because I'm
now able to listen to the Kevin & Bean show at night, thanks to the wma downloads of the show. The other reason would be because; to put it simply, John and Jeff are a bunch of jerks. They have this know it all attitude, and they are really really
stubborn about saying that they are always right. They really are full
of themselves and act like they have the answer to everything. All
under the guise that they are just giving us their "totally brutally honest
opinions." Well, when their opinions gets challenged by a caller, they
adamantly defend their point of view, even when the caller has some really valid points. But John and Jeff
would not have any of that. If they are losing their argument,
their next strategy is to try and do a profile on who the caller is, as
if to validate that the person doesn't know what they are talking
about.Recently, I happen to leave the radio on The John and Jeff show as
background noise while I was working on something. Sure enough, they
were have a discussion with a caller that disagrees with their
opinion. I listened to the caller's opinions, and I'll honestly
have to side with him over John and Jeff. So they go ahead and do a
profile of the guy, and to my amusement, they got it all wrong!
The guy was nothing like they thought he was. So what do they do
next? They call the guy a liar and tell him that he isn't telling them
the truth about himself. At that point, I just had to shake my
head at the fact these guys have a radio show.In the past, I myself have been known to be just as stubborn about my opinions on
things. But I'd like to think that I was never that bad, to the point
of insulting the other person. John and Jeff, you should be
ashamed of yourselves.
