Before I continue with my post for today, I thought I'd point out that
it's been a year and two days since I started my account with xanga.
I'm not going to change the design to commemorate this or anything like
that, but I did add a public guest book for people who don't have a
xanga account (like some friends from work) so that they can leave
comments if they want to. The guest book link can be found at the upper
right hand side of my blog's header ("-- have a comment?"), in my xanga guest book itself, or
just click here...

Well, I'm about three hours away from driving down to the San Diego Comic-Con International.
I tried to go to sleep, but this is my "Christmas in July" and I guess
I'm too excited. Actually I think I drank too much soda. This year at the Comic-Con will be the first year that I will actually go to all the days available. That's the Preview Night on Wednesday,
and the regular days from Thursday to Sunday. I've also did the
math properly this time and I realized that I've been attending this
event since 1990, and only missed one year so far (1998). I used to go
exclusively because of the comic books, but now it's exclusively for
the movie / TV show promotions that includes the celebrities that go
with those panels. Last year, those panels were all hella packed with
people, and I guess to alleviate that problem, the coordinators set it
up so that popular crowd drawing panels are now scheduled to run
parallel to each other. I suppose to split the crowd to more
bearable levels. I'm a little annoyed by this turn of events, but
I understand that it has to be done.I've already planned out the main panels that I will be attending, so
if anybody reading this is going, you might be able to catch me there.
I cut out the other panels that I could or would have attended (like
Lost, Justice League Unlimited, King Kong, etc...
