A friend of a friend that I know was hit by a car. You may never guess how it went.
It happened at a popular Asian shopping area, in a city heavily populated by Asians. Parking there was a problem, but that's usually the case. I don't know if it's an "Asian only thing," but sometimes when parking is a problem, you get somebody to stand in an empty parking spot to "save" it. I'm sure you can see where this is going by now. So the friend is standing at the spot, while her friend's car is still on the other aisle trying to get there. Along comes a middle age Asian lady in a Mercedes intent on getting that empty parking spot that the friend was standing on. The lady in the Mercedes drives in that parking spot while the friend was still standing there anyway! Yeah, that's how she got hit by a car, and you should know that she wasn't ran over, it was more like a hard bump. "So sue me," is what the lady in the Mercedes said to the friend. So she sued her, and the case is still going on at this time.
So what's the lesson of this story....?

haha i would say that the mercedes lady is in the wrong, mainly because she did not even apologize but encouraged her to sue her. who'd win in a court though? haha beats me!
A car is considered a deadly weapon if used the wrong way. So that's like shooting someone who didn't want to get out of your way. I have a feeling the car lady will lose. I forget, but I think California is no fault state? it's been a long time since law class. So they could be equally wrong.
