I have two dogs, one white, and one brown. I was playing with the white dog at one point, wrestling with him. The brown dog shows up and sees us playing, but she proceeds to the dog toy crate that we have. The brown dog picks up a dog squeeky toy and goes near us. While I'm still playing with the white dog, the brown dog drops the doggie toy in front of the white dog, which distracts him and makes him immediately play with the toy. Then the brown dog just slides right in between me and the white dog, giving me signs that she wants me to play with her instead. Pretty slick move she did there if you ask me.

I just got home from the airport. After being in Hawaii, it's a little surreal actually being home now. Heck it was "liberating" to drive faster than 35mph. The 767 plane ride we took back was a test of endurance. Trying to stay comfortable in this trip back was a lot harder than when we were heading there. It didn't help that unlike the trip there with the sun still being up, the tv shows being shown, and the in flight movie, all we got heading back was the in flight movie which didn't even have any volume at the last ten minutes of it and passengers sleeping (the guy in front of me had his chair all the way back too). We did need a transfer flight to our final destination, and it was in a small airplane that fits maybe 50 people. It was noiser than the 767 but it was more pleasant for me. Ah to be back home is a nice feeling, although we still need to pick up our dogs. I'm off to sleep now and even called in from work later tonight, unlike my poor wifey who just left for work.

What I learned about Hawaii. It reminds me a lot of how the Philippines is, what with the roads, houses, the rural areas in general, and the weather. The big city areas like where we were at; Waikiki, is pretty much like most big cities in the USA, except there's a certain Asian influence to how the stores & shops are laid out. The speed limit here is too slow for a SoCal person like myself, with it averaging 25-35mph tops. Hawaiian guides like having tourists repeat Hawaiian words in a group, as if we're back in elementary school or something. I repeat Hawaiian words so much, that just out of reflex I end up repeating english words too. I love saying Hawaiian words like kamehameha or kalakaua.Things are more expensive than expected, but the sales tax is really low. There are no billboards here, nor are there seashells or seagulls at the beaches. I could never tire walking down the street of Waikiki and see bikini-clad women. All in all though, my friend is right, it's hard to leave Hawaii when you're here.

So what did my wife and I do for our last night in the hotel? Why, we ate some mango and oranges on our bathroom sink. We didn't have a plate or anything like that in our room, so we ate on the sink to avoid a juicy mess. Not only that but all we had available to us to cut the fruits open was a plastic knife. It honestly worked rather well, and we didn't have to get a dinner knife to open them up. Btw it was my aunt who lives in Hawaii that gave us the fruits. It's a very Pilipino thing to give some kind of gift to be hospitable, even though it meant that we had to eat the fruits right away, since we'll be leaving for home by plane in less than a day away. Now don't get me wrong, as we did enjoy the mangos and oranges, and appreciate the gifts. If anything else, my wife found great humor in the fact that we were eating fruits on the bathroom sink. In fact she even said that if she had a blog, this is something she would blog about. Imagine that.

The circle island tour was lots of fun, and I would definetly recommend it to anybody visiting Hawaii. There were a few hitches though like when we thought we missed the tour shuttle pickup, but it turned out that it was just running a little late. The other glitch was when we had to wait literally close to an hour for the check, at the restaurant we went to for lunch. Our tour guide was pretty nice and funny though, but she tends to repeat some things she's already said a few minutes prior. Overall though, I've learned several things about Hawaii that I didn't know about, and got to enjoy the sights of the island. Good times, good times.

"The guy who watches the tv show Lost" is what I have become to be known with the guide of this circle island tour. Everytime we come across an area where Lost had a scene in, the guide will always make sure to get my attention. Despite the added attention to myself, it is pretty cool to see all these different areas where Lost is being filmed at. We even had a boat ride at one of the areas that was used for the show. Pretty cool.

We're doing the circle island tour right now. Seeing lots of trees, water, rocks, mountains, houses, the HPU cheerleader team in their skimpy cheerleading uniforms, and a pit bull. Enjoying the tour so far.

It seems eveybody wants the Luau experience. Me and my wife chose the seafood and steak dinner which means that weren't as many people at our eating place. There was something funny at dinner time though. When entering the door, a waitress sees you to your table, but we ended up requesting the tablw next to that. Unfortunately for that waitress, it meant that we are now the customers of that "sections" other waitress. Everytime we saw our "would have been" waitress, she would actually end up turning her smiling face into a disappointed look. Sad for her true, but I *shrug* my shoulders to that humorous unfortunate situation. The waitress we did end up getting also proved to be "entertaining" to me. It seems that she wasn't that experienced yet and kept forgetting to refill our water and soda. She would look at our table and give that "oh crap I'm forgetting something" look, pace forward then back, and runs towards a water pitcher for us. At one point we had to ask her three times for a refill of soda. Funny.

we're at the Polynesian Cultural Center at this time. We're having a good time with lots of activities like bamboo playing, canoe rides, and some dancing. They sure like putting us honeymoon couples on the spot though, and I even did some wild pig hunting ritual.
